Football is a very active sport that was invented in Britain in the 19th century by Walter Camp. Known as a rough sport to play, it is likely for football players to experience some sort of damage to either the body, or brain. For instance, according to www.science.org, it states, "Of 202 former players of the U.S. version of the game whose brains were examined, 87% showed the diagnostic signs of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE)" However, protective gear has been designed to make the game still enjoyable.
